Nice bulkheads, seem really well made. I've been trying to get one myself for ages but can never seem to come across any.

Rather stupidly I left one of these at my old house & also left one in the skip originally, doh! Didn't realise they were anything particularly special at the time

Yes this does look quality! Only thing I would probably do upon fitting ( you may of done this anyway) is put some copper grease on the stainless threads as stainless in to cast always corrodes!

Pre-greased right from the factory, although I'll put some more on as this is mounted below an apex roox with no guttering. Will also be interesting see how waterproof it remains

Search![Thorlux Prismalette 2D Bulkhead
As you can see in the background, our house is currently getting re-pointed meaning the CFL converted dusk-to-dawn [url=http://80.229.24.59:9232/gallery/displayimage.php?pid=6063][u]floodlights[/u][/url] had to be removed. I've decided they're not going back up again, because they're crap.
As a trial I've fitted this BNOS 2002 vintage Thorlux 2D bulkhead. It was originally 28w, but I've changed the ballast for the first 40w ballast I laid my hands on which happened to be a nice old West German May & Christe, so now it runs 38w lamps. Currently fitted is a crap-tacular BELL 840. I've also fitted a Royce Thompson mini photocell.
The fitting itself is UK made, has a cast alloy base and a polycarbonate prismatic diffuser held shut by 4x stainless security screws.
