As found, now rescued & is safely in my collection. Appears to have the original Atlas metal can starter fitted. Tube was nothing special and was dead so I left it.

It does! It's massive for a 4ft fixture. I thought it was 5ft until I took the tube out and realised something was amiss.

Yep. I think it was a GB Osram white. My guess is it'd used up its emitter, was left flashing before the starter stuck and was left like that until one of the cathodes broke! I will fit a new glow bottle to the starter seeing as it's a nice vintage one, possibly original to the fixture

A 4ft one Laughing naa I dunno really. If I put this to use in my garage it'll get whatever 4ft T12 I lay my hands on first, probably just a colour 35
