That’s a gorgeous fitting Simon! What tubes are installed? They look to have a good red content in them.
Thanks Andy, this fitting was a Christmas present when I was a kid. Left tube is a unbranded Daylight from the 1960s and the right one is a Philips (Polish) MCFE 840

Nice pic Simon that’s an old crompack!

That is gonna be 60 years old this year!!! Classic style of the 60s design what's not to love about it!
The design is just utterly beautiful - bonus that it has one being a triphosphor T12 that is the proper argon filled one
and is the starter an electronic one cos of its green colour?

Excellent
looking mint at 60 years old
That's a nice example indeed!
Very nice! Looks to be in great condition still too

Perfection
, T12 tubes just look so much better!
Hard agree @AngryHorse T12 will always remain my top fave fluorescent lighting although I greatly appreciate T8 fittings and T5s too
Thanks guys!... It is in original condition apart from a recent polish with T-cut @ Fluorofan Yep electronic starters I still have the originals
@Simon: I thought so cos the colour looks Pulsestarter to me
good choice to preserve the tubes and to create an almost SRS start up experience
@Fluorofan Well spotted! All my fluorescent fittings have electronic starters apart from the 6ft pop pack over the garage door that is SRS
I can see that you like the 'smooth start' of fluorescent lighting on pulsestarter and SRS ballasted fixtures - so do I. Any magnetic fluorescent ballasts with the 'smooth start' is the top notch and far more interesting than electronic HF pre programmed start

Nice looks pristine!

Thanks Kev!
