A very rare sight now! Always cool to see higher wattage mercury street lighting, all of it has long gone over here leaving only smaller side road stuff in recent times.

My thoughts exactly - like we are so grateful to see side road MV lighting but the true bonus is the main road/higher wattage MV streetlighting - you'd be extra lucky to find one in the UK

What a wonderful sight to behold in late 2024! Quite incredible to see MV lit streets like this.

The majority of the Gran Canaria streetlights were CMH, HPS and LED - this wasn't the only street that had MV streetlights but the street that led to the Playa Del Ingles were the same MV. There was a small building that had a small wall mounted streetlight that had MV bulb running (have pic of it here dayburning)
