Late 80s I'd say cos of the THORN logo and it is post THORN EMI Smile

Looks like the tube is in a much earlier Mazda sleeve from the '60s perhaps.

It is - I didn't have any other sleeve to hand when I gave this to Pete, so this was better than it rolling around in his car and getting smashed

No, more common to see them the same as everyone else's sleeves to be fair. These are the only round ones I've ever seen
