Ring Lighting 46060 36W T8 fluorescent fixtures
Got these 2 for nothing via FB Marketplace and best of all was that it was only a very short drive away

These are the exact copies of the 36W T8 fluorescent fixture that my Dad installed in the bathroom and I grew up with it until it was taken down in Summer 2017 (OG fixture is in my shed)

The staple of the DIY shed (£7.99) in the mid 90's!

When the DIY stores stocked quality battens!

Well, not sure I'd call these quality, compared to what else was available. At the same sort of time, Wickes sold 4' and 5' Crompacks both singularity and in trade packs of 4. Compared to these, well, there really is no comparison. That said, these are better than the lines of Eterna and then the no name Chinese tat that followed...

Yeah quality compared to the tat now and the last few years! The Crompacks always win though, that is just the DIY store selling actual professional grade battens rather than anything residential.
