Do u have a 3 way E26 socket? These are common in Table or Floor lamp in the living room in the US. Normal GLS will work in these socket too. The 3 works buy first turn of knob is low the 50 watt filament lit. Next one is Med 100 watt second filament lit. Then high 150 watt by turning on 100 and 50 watt filament at same time. There other wattage too like 30/70/100 and hard to get 100/150/250 watts. These are not banned in the US. Ive been using these as 50 watt first in the normal GLS socket then later get my soldering iron out and bridge the contact for 100 watt GLS after the 50 watt EOL

Sadly I haven't been able to get a socket for them yet.

I can send a socket across the pond. No need for getting them off from ebay for socket. I might as well provide the lamp stem so that way u can build a table lamp. my advice if you want 3 way lamp last abit longer is turn off lignt from another switched source then turn the 3 way knob where u want on that setting. What happens it all that filament flexing from short switching by turning the knob on 3 way.
