thats odd with a clear frosted front, crap coating though as its peeling off ! Have you got any GEC made in canada amber 100 watt par 38's? been looking for ages, had 2 years back, both went in the end, used them in my livingroom downlighters which are early 70's par38 downlights, loved the colour from them, the 100w size went into 80 watt in latter years, dont know why the GEC par lamps were made in canada but a lot of them seem to have come from there

That's actually the remains of an old label on the front, the coating seems internal.
