Philips MasterClassic 13w halogen candle lamp
An odd and short-lived range of halogen lamps, with inbuilt step-down transformers, that came with either clear or frosted glass and in standard or candle shape, was marketed in the late 2000s-early 2010s by Philips. They didn't catch on as the much less clunky and cheaper 240v halogen retrofits flooded the market. After seeing some in other collections I was glad to get this example (albeit used and box-less!)

I always wondered if these were ‘re-lampable’?, is it possible to pop the top off, and put another halogen capsule in?
It’s a shame these didn’t catch on, as low voltage halogen are slightly more efficient and more hard waring than the crappy mains counterparts!
