New installation of 28w Blue 2D lamps This really took me by surprise. A bank in the centre of town, which up until a few months ago had square 2D fittings with either standard 2D or LED retrofit lamps has now changed to whole new circular 2D fittings with blue lamps, all around the building! I think these might be anti-drug lamps, maybe they had been having a drug problem around the building??? I should get some more photos of the whole setup with my camera as my phone took some mostly-awful pictures.

Interesting! The toilets at Conway Park railway station had blue 2D lamps in them when I worked nearby years ago.

Yep they are anti-drug lamps. Old stock has probably been used unless they were bought on cheap in a clearance.

These can still be bought new, I think they are still made. Very Happy

The 2D lamps were available in various colours for colour washing.
I think that all of the connection between blue light and drugs is a myth.
