Surprisingly, I still see Neon used for certain applications where LED could have easily been used. Particularly in logo sign in shopping centres.

In spite of there being reasons why neon may be more difficut to use than LED such as fragility and conrol gear, there's still something special about neon that LED can't quite match.

Nice to see as its all LED you see now on displays! I bet these spirals will out last LED version 10x over!
