Aico "Slave flash" photographic xenon flash lamps

I picked up some of these off of Ebay recently, until then I had never seen one of these before. They are very interesting, they are designed to be plugged into any mains fitting. They have a photocell which will allegedly fire the xenon flash tube when it detects a camera flash, thus providing extra light for photographic subjects.
