C&R flashing lampholder for 40-100w lamps
Another surprise find from the recent bag of charity shop lamps I bought on Ebay - and an added bonus that this is still in its original box! It takes quite a while for any lamp that's inserted to start flashing, and once flashing the device gets quite hot (and smelly - god knows of what!)

I'm guessing that;s using a simple bi-metallic strip to make and break the contact. Takes a while to get hot and thus start working.
