These always seemed rather elusive compared to the 306 always seen on motorways!

I suppose motorways needed 250W. When all you need is up to 150, the smaller one will suffice. I've seen no end of the 305s out on the job. They're all over the place on the smaller roads

I guess like a lot of lanterns it depends on the area, we had next to no trafficivsions here (and those we did have all looked like 306's), but we did have millions of SGS203's!
