Oh fuck, I've never seen a 2' 40W ballast like that! Surprised I thought it looked like the 20W you posted the other day! This ballast is super super rare you must treasure it!!!!!

It's bigger than the 2 x 20W. It gets disgustingly hot, but what do I expect for such high current and so much voltage dropped across it? I just worry about the stress to the internal capacitor.

Thats also a pretty rare colour for a 2 foot 40?, most I have seen were white and cool white.

If you shine a torch in the end of the tube (iPhone torch is perfect for this) you can see the cathode on this lamp will have the anode guards
