One of those little chinese ccfl inverters. Edit: sorry this was on a neon transformer. I ran the neon version of this on the ccfl inverter.

Great photo, I've never seen the hydrogen discharge so intense before! How it appears in the fat tube ends is how you normally see this in other hydrogen spectral lamps, much less impressive than your example.

Hi james, I may have overdriven it a bit as the lamp got rather hot very quickly. I ran it off a 12kv neon sign transformer. Also I sent you a PM
