Parmar 250w Mercury Vapour Ballast

250w mercury vapour choke/ballast

No manufacturer information but could be Philips due to the date code style, this one 'D9', April 1969. [Update this is a Parmar ballast, no idea if the Philips style date stamp means anything relevant]

This was in a heavy, over-engineered cast alloy Benjamin branded control gear box.

Did Parmar use the same date coding as Philips or is it just some kind of serial number?
