GEC 50w T8 tube Here is what I believe to be a very rare length of lamp, which I think was first used by Thorn for their Arrowslim fittings (correct me if I'm wrong). Due to the lack of date code on this lamp I suspect it might have been by Thorn for GEC.

Looks Like a Thorn crimp on the lamp cap.

I've already had several people tell me it looks Thorn-esque, so you're probably right there!

Nice find! Yes that's surely a Thorn made tube. Should be the same length as a 58W tube but with different electrical specs.
