Proper floods!

These SON Thorn Areafloods are some of many which light up the carpark of the Prescot Shopping Centre and are probably original from when the place opened in 1989.
The fiberglass has suffered over the last 30+ years but still has plenty of life left if they can survive the LED plague...

These are proper rare in service now Cool

, the last time I saw any of these here, was on ERFs yard at Sandbach in the late 80s!

I know of quite a few on the walls of old factories and on poles around various hardstanding and some old petrol station-come hand carwashes but these are probably the only ones that I know for a fact still work.

I spotted some more not far from work, in an ex British Gas yard, theres about 5, all seem to have 400 watt elliptical lamps in, not sure if mercury or SON though? I'd guess mercury?

These are gone. Removed when the building that the car park belong too was demolished Sad
