Philips 18w Trueforce CorePro LED HPL
1 x Philips Trueforce CorePro LED HPL lamp in 18w 4000k flavour.
Obviously designed to replace MBF lamps.
Interesting to see just how far the "LED Filament" technology is being developed.
Rather bright for the wattage, only 800 off an 80w MBF!

18w
4000k
25,000h
3000lm
CRI 80%

The range consists of 13, 18, 26 and 36w lamps in both 3000 and 4000k with lumen outputs of 2000, 3000, 4000 and 6000lm.

Included is an instruction leaflet which shows how the original ballast can be left in circuit as long as any ignitors and PFC capacitors are removed or the recommended installation of a direct connection to the mains supply.
There is also a sticker which you apply to the luminaire which warns of the conversion.

Interesting how their pushing the diodes at 166 Lm/W!, I suppose they have been specifically designed to do this though?, needs testing, but would you be tempted to test it in the G6? Rolling Eyes , I don’t think I could resist! Laughing

I was considering that tbh, but would be too bright lol. I had hoped to use it in the rise-and-fall pendant over the dining table but wouldn't fit...

wheres the heat sink on these lamps? bet they overheat and fail early, is this brand new development as never seen one of these before, seen the darlic shape 35w lamp which is ment to replace a 70w son, but they look awfull, never seen a bulb shape envlope for a diischarge lamp yet

The LED "filaments" are gas cooled inside the outer envelope iirc.
A user on LG has used a few hundred of these with only one actual failure so far.
