Ooh very interesting! I have seen these Narva half coated lamps in 80W and 125W, but not seen a 250W one before, very cool find

A most unique and pleasantly shaped MV lamp! Thanks very much Olav for picking this up today!

Andy, you are welcome.

I never used to like BT shaped lamps but now I've taken to them rather a lot of late.

This lamp was produced in the third quarter of 1970 by NARVA in Berlin-Friedrichshain, GDR.

Beautiful lamp. Was it made for the Topf lanterns too ? Had they existed in >125W ?

Hello Ash, thanks for your comment. Only the 80W and 125W lamps were specially designed for the "Topf" fixture. The large 250W lamp in the photo was designed for industrial hall lighting. In the next few days I will be copying my little report about these three types from fb into the forum. There are then more technical data (with German text) and pictures.
