It's strange seeing a SON-E in this. I'm used to seeing T lamps used usually. Will certainly give a nice soft light.
I'm really pleased how the light these give off is softer to the eye and i feel makes better use of the optic
E lamps do look better in these
I always had a soft spot for SON E, mostly as they were common in MK and they gives off a nicer light why people moved away from SON E to SON T i'm not sure?
Indeed.
Son t cheaper and more light output.
Makes sense then why SON E went out of favour towards the mid 2000s when cost cutting and more bang for the buck..
high wattage son I lamps actually came to be in the late 1960's in street lighting, think large wattage sonI lamps fell out of favour in the 1980's
Ooh really! Was the idea of SON I swap from MBFU?
Well when you think of back then when they were being retrofitted into big old lanterns like big G.E.C Z8526 and Thorn Alpha 3 ect, they had optics designed for big MBF lamps.
