Osram Vialox 1000w: Full power.
Just showing this nice 1kW Osram Vialox NAV-T lamp running at full power on a newly commissioned gearbox.
It's inside an old Low bay fitting that used to be geared for 400w halide but I have stripped out the gear out and added a C13 socket so I can use any type of lamp inside to test with the requisite external gearbox.
Bit of a squeeze but she fits in there! I have left the safety glass off as this thing kicks out a serious amount of heat!
130,000 lumens! Blinding!

I’m pretty sure these would have made decent high bay versions Cool

Well you'd not need as much heating on in the winter...

That lamp looks good in there despite being a bit on the large size! I tried something similar with a 1kW MH lamp in a lowbay that I removed the gear from so that I can just lash up to any ballast for testing.

It was a bit tight going in, had to start the thread into the holder with the lamp at an angle lol. Bloody kicks out some heat through... you'd never be able to surface mount one of those... and it would have to be some mounting to support the weight of the gear!
