250w self-ballasted Mercury-Halogen Lamp.

1 x 250w mercury vapour lamp which is ballasted by an internal linear tungsten halogen lamp.
It's interesting as this is listed as being 220-240v. It only actually consumes 250w when you feed it 230v. At 240v it actually runs at 275w.
These are quite sloppily made lamps but are certainly interesting.

These are certainly an interesting lamp. My two have a white box. I am guessing you have only just bought these? Where as mine i must have had over 10 years

Yes mine I bought 2 weeks ago, but not from SW Clarke but from another seller, for £10, I too have the same lamp in a plain white sleeve, as well as a 400 watt size also in a plain white sleeve.
