Anglepoise model 90 black desk lamp
It really is amazing what some people throw away. This was resting next to the lamp bin I always go to, looking a bit sad. I got back home, cleaned it, fitted a new Tungsram 60w lamp (after stepping on the cheap LED it had in(!!!)) and fitted a new fuse. It has some quite big scratches on the back, which I will paint over when I have time.

What a classic design. They could have put it on eBay and made a tidy bit...

I bet some serious mathematics went into these, they calculated the weight of the arms and the spring tension so perfectly so they would stay in whatever position you put them in! Cool

I've always wondered how well these would work with a crown silver lamp.
