Vintage London underground fluorescent fittings
Yesterday saw me go on a little adventure exploring a lot of London by tube - I was surprised how many fluorescents are still in use! Sadly I did not spot any T12 tubes, but some far-flung stations (and possibly Russell Square station) still have a few from what I can remember. Here is a selection of custom fittings (from the 1970's or '80s) used in some tunnels leading to platforms.

Shame these are all now running T8. I can remember T12 being everywhere in the tube network. Still, at least they're not LED

I'm not suggesting that they aren't from the 70s but the design looks more like 50s or early 60s.

I'm sure you;re right Rob - seen lots much older than this on the tube that look very similar!
