Inside the lantern shed 2023
Since I first built this shed in 2019, the number of lanterns entering the collection exploded into what's shown here. With 377 lanterns now in the collection, provision for storing them had to become a priority. Even so this space fast became inadequate simply due to the volume of how fast things were entering into the collection, I simply couldn't keep up with the reorganisation to accommodate each and every lantern. This prompted me to build the last of the three sheds I'd planned for to be dedicated to all the fluorescent equipment just so I could utilise the two shelves they took up to store more of this now elusive HID lighting.

Despite these challenges, I've managed somewhat to keep to a very strict self imposed rule that under no circumstances can lighting be stored in the walkway, I want to be able to be able to access all the lighting collection, especially at times when I host lighting meets. there's still a few outstanding jobs left to complete in this shed, I want to restore and install the triple clipper in the empty space on the right, some outside lights need to be restored and installed, and I'm wiring it ten further lights inside the shed (but those are staying under wraps for now)

It amazing how you've managed to compact all the lanterns into this shed like. Wish i had your organizing skills!

It gets harder and harder with every lantern that I get like, but if you stand back, think and then do, its surprising how much you can compact a collection down
