Another interesting gadget - in this case designed for strings of old Christmas lights, designed to make them flash on and off when the bimetallic strip inside has sufficiently warmed up. I tested this with a low wattage GLS, it didn't seem to work. Perhaps I didn't allow it enough time to warm up...

Interesting as I thought it would rely on heat from a lamp to make it work but if used with Christmas lights they would be connected via a bayonet plug.

Yes that's how most lamp flashers usually seem to operate. This one is rather curious!
