K lite ultra high effiency led lamps (philips dubai lamp and Philips ultra high effiency lamp)

Here you can see two version of Ultra High efficacy lamps. The bottom one is the famous Dubai lamp, being the first of tha type. It consists of 12 individual LED filaments There are three sets of filament in parallel. There are two of these sets in series. this is used two times in the lamp.
Originally the dubai lamp was made exclusively for the UAE (hence the name) as the then highest effiency lamps on the market. These lamps featured an effiency for the 3W odell of 200lm/W at an color temperature of 3000K. The lamp features an internal linear driver which has not to good power factor of cos(Phi)=0.47, likely due to the combination of the input capacitance and currents Harmonics produced by the lamp.
The top lamp is the more modern Philis ultra high efficacy bulb. It features 8 Filament. $ filaments are connected in parallel and there are two of the sets in series. This allows for the Filaments to be arranged in circle while with the dubai lamp design they are arranged in what can be best described as a left turning swastica when viewed from the top. Also these Filaments are longer implying they are high voltage which makes the driving circuit more efficient as it is also linear driver and so has less voltage drop across it. This however makes a higher value smoothing capacitor necessary in order to limit flicker form the LED´s. This particular lamp is also rated 3000k but 4W at an enhanced effiency of 210lm/w making the dubai lamp obsolete. The Power factor of this lamp is slightly worse at cos(Phi)=0,38 likely due to the higher capacitance needed in the driver, and due to currents harmonics having an higher amplitude. This lamp was manufactured 2022 while the dubai lamp was manufactured according to its datecode in 2023 which i think is quite late as at the end of 2023 these amps could not be found anymore in dubai.
