I remember Poundland selling these. They were very dim and a miserable grey/blue colour. Some would last for several years while others would go bang pretty much straight out of the packet.

I can imagine how the quality would be very subpar and the miserable grey/blue colour would mean putting off ppl from switching to CFL from incandescent - they be better off getting the Philips Genies from Lidl
