Simplex enamel wellglass light and Revo B28 bracket installed.

It only took me 5 years, but yesterday the massive Simplex well glass light I restored, and then had to strip and restore again, has finally been installed as our permanent motion sensor light, and I absolutely love the way it turned out.

When I originally bought this light, it was an absolute mess, missing the glass, bent, buckled and rusted cage, missing screws, and a bracket that consisted of a conduit box and angle metal, it took a lot of work to rebuild it back to a complete state once again, even going to the effort of having a glass replicated.

The Revo B28 bracket came from eBay, and upon arrival I realised it had the correct conduit reduction adapter fitted to allow me to install this massive light to. After stripping the paint from the enamel shade revealing the original green, I clear lacquered it, and then had it colour matched so I could paint the bracket in the matching colour, painting the flowers purple for a little contrast.

Installation was actually remarkably easy, it only took about half an hour to get it on the wall and wired up. This was the first time I saw the light actually lit in the time I've had it, and with an Omega 150w GLS lamp, it looks absolutely stunning. It provides ample light for the patio area its intended for, and the motion sensor switches on perfectly where I want it to as well. I've also wired in a manual override too, which will come in mega handy for when the lights needed longer than the time set on the PIR.
