Labcraft 8000 SC bulkhead, cover off showing lamp

I bought this Labcraft 8000 SC bulkhead some years ago now as a shell, with no gear present at all. It appears it was intended to be some sort of emergency light, but with nothing within, a shell is how it remained for years, until last weekend when I done a small bit of cutting and altering to allow a 2D lamp holder to be fitted.

It now runs a 16w 2D lamp, and it looks like the bulkhead was always intended for the lamp, seeing as it fits so snug within. Size wise the bulkheads seven inches round, a similar diameter to the Thorn Rondo. Seeing it light for the first time after all these years is something I'd always anticipated, and it looks as good as I imagined. The front dimples actually magnify and spread the light, meaning its one impressively bright fitting, spreading light very evenly.
