Car Park revisit repairs: after relamp and photocell bypass
The Urbis ZXU1s installed by me, Nick and James in Jan 2022 three needed relamping already!

As it turned out the building was refurbished earlier this, during this they fitted a digital time clock, and a 20lux on and 80lux nema photocell to control the outside lighting, including the car park!

The ZXU1s also run on photocells. Basically the main cell would switch, the ZXU1s would light and then go off because of the ZXU1 photocells. The firing up and then going off after a moment, which seem to shorten the life of the nos 90s Philips Powertones!

Shame really but hopefully they’ll last longer now

I'm hoping 5 to 7 years before any go out this time. How long do you think they'll last?

I suppose it’s a good thing they didn’t do a full LED overhaul when they added the building photocell Very Happy, most electrical companies would have told them, “you know, those old sodium lights on the car park are terribly inefficient now”!
