Dakal 2 x 2 foot T8 LED Weatherpack: Fluorescent Conversion 1 x Dakal Lighting LED Weatherpack for 2 x 600mm LED T8 lamps. I got this from eBay for the single reason that it was very cheap and I thought it would be fun to convert it back to fluorescent. I was going to go with twin 18w mag chokes but as this fitting is quite light I thought a twin HF ballast would be more suited. This is a VERY cheap & nasty fitting but at least the clips and mounting brackets are stainless steel and the cover fits nicely onto it's gasket. It cooks the lamps though!

I imagine it would get scorching hot had you gone with mag gear! I guess these are sized for the LED tubes so not taking the heat into account, might perform better with 2x 14W T5 which of course would involve cutting new lamp holder slots though.

I wonder if anyone has ever tried to put fluorescent into one of these wired for LED and taken the cathodes out! Surprised
