150w SON Choke Thermal Profile

Having a look to see how hot the Tridonic dual-tap 100/150 SON choke gets in my DIY gearbox.
Not as hot as I would have thought but then again it was never too hot to touch.
Also nice to see no high resistance points in my wiring but it's not really pulling that much current anyway, my 1000w+ gearboxes may be a different story!

If it’s superimposed the full lamp current will be going through it.

Indeed. It's potted too so whatever is it there will warm up.

Is it set to 100 or 150W here? it would be interesting to see what temperature difference there is between the two settings.

It was 150w IIRC.
