BLV 150w MHR 150 N/B FibreOptic: Full Power
1 x BLV 150w quartz metal halide dichroic reflector lamp for use in fibre optical systems at full power.
The focal distance is 61mm and the full frontal shot is further away than that, hence why the arc does not fill the reflector.
The shadow from the conductor going to the end of the lamp is quite noticeable. I wonder what effect this would have in the fire optic system.
Would be interesting to compare this with Osram's HQI-R which uses their transverse arc lamp but the chances of me ever finding one of those is practically nil!

Looks like this lamp have Na-Sc. The reflector however, makes capturing of the arc difficult. The Osram HQI-R, have Sn-In-Tl-Na I think.
