FFS what contractors get these jobs, I have a couple of those Philips fittings they are quality the brackets are about 10mm thick galvanised and then powder coated steel proper well made. They did these in SDW-T SON / CDO or CDM-T all would look cool on this lighthouse

It is rubbish. I mean if they really wanted to go LED, I can think of much more suitable LED spot fittings that would do the job almost as well as the old ones. It seems most contractors these days don't even bother looking at the application requirements and just fit the same old generic LED shite flood.

The days of quality, well-designed lighting installs are over. It's a race to the bottom to install the cheapest LED tat everywhere, with no regard at all to colour temperature, optics of fitting, light spread or lumen level, lifespan or build quality of the fitting. I could go on.......
