Very unusual 4 lamp version this one. GEC offered this as a twin 2' 40w lantern, however, this and a number of others were produced as a special order to be used in the Blackpool area. Only place I'm aware of these ever having existed. Until I actually saw this with my own eyes on Sat, I didn't know such a thing existed at all. This particular lantern runs 2 pairs of 2' 20w tubes, wired as 2 seperate circuits. The idea being that one pair could be turned off at midnight, to then offer an energy saving. Overall, it's still 80w maximum output, but achieved in a different lamp configuration.

I couldn't stop looking at it for most of my visit on Sat! Or the 2 tube mode could be used for the summer nights as well as the midnight energy saving mode scheme - what a majestic looking small length fluorescent streetlight

It's a shame the bowl on this was as badly broken as it was. Not gonna be easy to find another one of those!

At lest it wasn't like in smithereens but yeah it wasn't looking that great that bowl - for me it be like finding gold dust. The only way I can see is to make one just like someone did with the Revo Lucidor SOX lantern or try to use gorilla glue to repair it as best as possible
