Thorn Radar Red 40w Fluorescent Tubes
Can it get any better than this? I knew that these tubes existed in GB for a very long time, but I never ever hoped I could actually own a few of these ridiculously rare examples of British lighting history! As far as I know, these tubes were primarily used with green CRT Radar screens to create a contrast for better visibility. They were also used with a red sleeved filter on ships as signal lamps. These tubes are really amazing and I am ever so grateful to have them in my collection. Thank you Dan sincerely for these tubes! The color of these tubes is pure magenta and I like it so much, it is quite bright and really saturated and it is not at all as the "red" pink tubes from narva or osram, these have way different color to them.
