150w "Very Big Spot" blacklight reflector lamps
Here is something a bit unusual! Certainly not a very well made lamp by any means, but an interesting curio nonetheless... Such lamps were quite popular in the early 2000's. No brand name anywhere apart from "Very Big Spot", which it certainly is I suppose (or "Very Big Flood" by any means!)

Bet that chucks out heat like almost a 200W incandescent!!!

Yes it's crazy - maybe even like a 300w to be honest. 150w is a very large rating for a lamp like this! Shocked

Wouldn't be surprised if it was that also Surprised although beautiful as a deep violet light (as the UV output is still very weak) it will not last long as the overdriven filament will have a short life - goes to show how fluorescent is superior for UV generation Smile
