Bell Maxistrip two
|
Here you can see three different forms of the bell maxistrip architectural lamps. Architectural lamps were lamps, mainly linear incandescent lamps but also curved incandescent lamps specially designed to run along shapes of building, but also to form large lit bands on the perimeter and inside of buildings. Bell offered a unique type of lamps, the maxistrip II which was manufactured at their Wimbledon plant. Here you can see three varieties of this lamp:
All are 30W 240V lamps being clear, daylight and spray opalized. I am certain bell would have also made these colored. A frosted version was also made but i do not have one in my collection. Should anyone be willing to trade, I have a spare clear lamp I am willing to trade against another construction form of these maxistrip lamps.
These lamps date back to the 1930s. If there is interest, i can upload a box which is a form of art by itself.
