A very surprising treasure: THERE IS A SOX ROOM IN THE MADATEK MUSEUM!

I didn't believed to see this room with a REAL SOX lamp in the Haifa Museum of Science, Technology, and Space (MadaTek)!
It is a very small room with a single 55W SOX lamp, that demonstrates the monochromatic light of a low pressure sodium lamp:

It is just a shame that I didn't bought my discs with me to see and capture the spectrum of SOX lamp.
This lamp seems to work on a HF electronic ballast as there was no flickering visible through my eyes and my camera.
SOX lamps were very rare here in Israel. They were mainly used in very few highways in Israel (During the 20th century), at Orout Rabin power plant (Hadera), and in the parking lot of Dan Panorama hotel (Haifa).
Today, you can't find these type of lamps here in Israel.

And this lamp is way brighter than the 94W LED lanterns we have here at Kiryat Ata.
