Looks like the FEC don't have a thermal cutout, which make sense, since it don't contains moving parts. But I think I still see strips near the arctube that looks like bi-metals?

There is a wire in contact with the arc tube which moves away when the lamps warms up.
|
|
|||
So how the ignitor working during a hot restrike?
|

|||
There is also a bi-metal switch on the other side. Takes about 10 minutes to restrike.
