Odd that they went with plastic as a gear tray. I wonder how well it will hold up to heat from the ballast

I suppose it depends on what sort of plastic it is, I believe the plastic trays used in the WRTL Arc and Urbis Sapphire were some sort of glass reinforced polycarbonate and they seemed to hold up ok.

Yes that is true, you wouldn't want to fit an especially hot running ballast to it. I imagine that might send it into meltdown if day burning on a hot summers day
