What sort of parts? Drivers or LED arrays?
Kev   [04 Apr, 2026 at 11:18 AM]
I am hoping it’s drivers it’s cost me a fortune so far. £390 for replacement 5 cell batteries and £1K to whitecroft for drivers - the existing ones are Harvard which are no longer available so they have had to order in and pre programme some tridonics for me.

These are on router DALI I am changing the DALI to broadcasting so I don’t need to address the new drivers else it was going to be another £1200 for whitecroft to come down and programme the new drivers after I fitted them. Bring back the 8’

Guess that's what happens when they insist on all this digital control nowadays, not sure what was wrong with a simple switch really!

This the hall that replaced Thorlux and Fitzgerald 8 foots around 2014? Tesco seem to be ripping out these and Dextra Skylight lately for new LED Rolling Eyes

I think it was later than 14 maybe 15 or 16 either way these almost got ripped out as the schools “other” electrical contractor didn’t know how to fix them and was going to bin them.

Nice bit of reactance work, if it’s just drivers Cool, most would have done a fitting change!, not quite the same as looking after a HID installation, but similar.

Got a lot of reactive work rich - me and my friend have about 30 schools on the books as well as some big offices farms and that factory I used to look after under Ellis.
