Coughtrie SY10 GLS Bulkhead Fitting
I'm very pleased to have finally added one of these iconic fittings to my collection, for quite a reasonable price no less... Even though it currently has no lampholder. Thankfully, these are very easy to strip down and restore, which is what I will eventually do with this fitting and hopefully install it somewhere along with the BB-15 I acquired not too long ago.

They certainly are! This arrived packaged in a small box with only a bit of newspaper around it, and it miraculously survived the horrors of the postal service. Goes to show these really are indestructible...

The glass on these always makes them look full of condensation!

Nice fitting, these usually restore well, the main thing is to make sure you remove any trace of corrosion before repainting as it will come through again otherwise! Looks like this might be a later (80's?) one as there is no lamp holder bracket for a normal porcelain B22 holder but it probably uses one of those one piece Coughtrie holders that attaches to a single screw.
