Is there no way you can gently try and tap it out with a rubber mallet or something ?

Shame about the dent, but it is otherwise a rather nice classic fitting.

That'll come out no problem!

It would of course be better if it didn't have it but its not that bad. You could perhaps use a vice with blocks of wood to flatten it out.

It is worse than it looks in the picture, I don't think I'd ever get the corner right again but I will give it a go

It’s in a bit of a shit place you may not get it perfect by I reckon a lot better!

The trough Atlantic 3 I got from the Ever Ready site had a dent just like this in the side, infact probably in the same place as when we hacked it down with a sprinkler pipe it landed on its back on a pile of bricks. I just repainted it as it was and installed it you wouldn’t know it was there

What you need to do is make a wooden dolly to the same profile as the internal corner, and then work this dent out from that corner first. Once that's done you should be able to flatten the two faces out no trouble. Then finalise the profile of the corner and you should get it out almost completely. Its best to use a thin piece of wood so you can concentrate the blows more effectively when you're hitting the dolly with a hammer.
