Great pic there Rob! At the beginning of the '80s there must have been tens of thousands of little shops just like this. I can just imagine myself there at about 6 years old trying to decide what chocolate bar to buy.

This shop looks like it may have once been a butchers with all the tiles.

yes seen loads of fittings on hooks and chains like that on plug in ceiling roses, old factories used a lot of those rock plug in roses on conduit boxes

I remember an old corner shop in our town (a housing estate now)!, but it was full of 8 foot single battens , it was the first time I’d seen 8s in single form to the twins we had in junior school!
