What made you go back to CFL from the LED then
A couple of reasons, I found my massive stash of 11 watts that I thought I’d lost, I missed using them, and their fluorescent! I also have come to realise, the only benefit you get from the latest LED filament tech is efficiency!, but their colour can’t hold a candle to the amazing difference you get with 2700K Tri-phosphors!, I suppose I’m paying tribute to the real actual first energy efficient lamps?

Yeah, but i think we all liked CFLs from the off didn't we. I know i have always loved them Where as with LED there is just a permanent hatred for it

I remember moving into my house on the 18th of July 1995, the first thing I did was go out and buy 2 Philips triple turn PL*E/T , and put them in the kitchen!, we never had them at home cause dad wouldn’t pay the cost for them! , but you know that magical time with lighting in your own house, when you could use what YOU wanted, it brought back memories of that amazing time!

I know exactly what you mean Rich it’s so cool when you get your own place and put your own lighting up! Fucking love it! Those 90s PL – ET Lamps where the best they lasted for years probably my favourite CFL lamp

Yeah I wish I’d have bought more of them when they were available!, still I have hundreds of 11 watt Genies!, and you really can’t fault the Chinese on the Genie!, I had this discussion on LG and even though they didn’t have the reputation of the European lamps, you hardly ever heard of a Genie failing early?

Well as far as I know back then they were. Philips design PCB in Holland but produced in China to Philips spec.
