Osram Puritec UV-C 9w: Almost 2 years on. Showing an Osram Puritec UVC lamp in a 9w PL-S form factor which has been running in my pond pump 24/7 since the 11th of April 2020. That is an impressive 1 year, 11 months and 18 days and works out at 17,208 hours. It still lights but UV output is probably severely degraded so I changed it anyway. Not the discolouration of the plastic which is almost black in some places!

Smart idea from Osram using a plastic base on a UV-C tube.. Rolling Eyes

I usually leave them til EOL, or until the pond water starts to struggle to stay clear. Most of the ones i get usually go EOL before degrading lol
